The uncontrollable spread of COVID-19 has made it very difficult for the US casino industry to function in most states. Across the country, casinos are limiting the number of customers on their floors or are closing their doors to casual and experts bettors in an effort to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
- Due to the escalating coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the Morongo Band of Mission Indians has extended the temporary closures of the Morongo Casino Resort & Spa and the Casino Morongo through Sunday, April 12. Morongo will continue to monitor this evolving situation and evaluate its potential impacts on the properties daily.
- Morongo Valley traffic updates reporting highway and road conditions with real-time interactive map including flow, delays, accidents, construction, closures, traffic jams and congestion, driving conditions, text alerts, gridlock, and live cameras for the Morongo Valley area and San Bernardino county.
Casinos were particularly hard hit in the spring, when most were forced to shutter. On March 19, the American Gaming Associationissued a release on the crisis. AGA President and CEO Bill Miller said:
Morongo reopened May 22 to much fanfare after being closed for weeks due to public health orders with some major changes in an effort to keep staff and guests healthy.
With a spike of coronavirus cases in the fall and winter of 2020, casinos are once again being forced to shut down in many states. Most casinos remain open in some respect, but that will likely change.

Description
Incumbent will perform a variety of journey level skilled tasks in the following areas: Installation and maintenance of water appurtenances and distribution system including: motors, pumps, water plant facilities utilizing SCADA control, participating in rotational stand-by On Call, provide customer service, performs as a lead worker, operates heavy equipment and related tools.
Qualifications

Description

Player Services Attendant -
Morongo Golf Club at Tukwet Canyon (Part Time)
Description
Serve members and guests by maintaining golf cart and range conditions and attending to golf bags. Greet all members and guests; provide instruction on proper cart handling and the loading of clubs on the golf carts, as needed. Ensure an adequate level of range balls; collect, clean and deliver balls; rotate mats; ensure functioning of lighting equipment, and tee alignment; maintain clean water in club cleaner and ball washer. Other duties include trash removal, golf ball picking, culling of cracked or damaged range balls.
Qualifications
- The ability to operate the following equipment: golf cart, golf ball picker, ball washer, ball dispenser, pressure washer and golf cart jack.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and customer service skills are required for this position.
- Valid California Driver's License and ability to be insured on Company's insurance policy required

Public Safety Officer II -
Public Safety (Full Time)
Description
The Public Safety Officer II is an armed position responsible for protecting tribal assets in and around the casinos and provides for the safety, security and wellbeing of patrons and employees. Protects Tribal assets against loss or theft, and provide armed escorts as needed. Conducts gaming tables drops, chip fills, and asset escorts. Will provide security during the cash pulls. Stand assigned posts & respond to breaches of the peace. Enforce Policies & Procedures and criminal law & will assist outside law enforcement partnering agencies as required. Interact with patrons and team members in a positive, professional manner. Participate in continuous training programs including semi-annual firearms qualifications. May be assigned to specialized assignments and exterior public safety duties to include bike or vehicle patrol. Performs other public safety related duties as assigned.

- Have the ability to obtain a NIGC key license.
- Must have strong reasoning and guest relations skills.
- Must be 21 years of age.

- Prior experience with a licensed Public Safety or Security company performing officer or guard duties; or prior military service performing military law enforcement or military security related duties; or a college degree in an administration of justice related field of study, or Public Safety related degree program preferred, BUT NOT REQUIRED. Desirable candidates without experience will receive necessary training.
- Prior law enforcement experience, or gaming agency experience is welcomed.

Description
Observe casino gaming, via 'closed-circuit television' to ensure compliance with NIGC rules and the Tribal Gaming ordinances. Assist casino/hotel operations with investigations when necessary.
